Being the huge Star Wars fan that I am!

Very interesting idea for a blog, I am now following:)

I found you with the 'next blog' button, but I don't read most of the blogs I encounter, however I took particular interest in yours, and I read it as I think that you might also be interested in contributing to a discussion on my blog.

You may not be aware yet, but there is a new phenomenon sweeping parts of the web. It is very ambiguous and mysterious, but the messages that have been transmitted are very interesting and it is creating lots of excitement on the web and in certain circles of society.

It's ambiguity is where my blog comes in. It is a space where the questions and theories of this phenomenon can be discussed and scrutinised, and where those excited by this new viral campaign can try and solve the mystery of what it is, and whether it is really as relevant and interesting as it promises to be. It is still not known whether it is a political party, a philosophical idea or even a movie campaign!

Anyway I think that you would enjoy participating in the early discussions of this phenomenon.

Many thanks, and keep up the good blogging:)Hugohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14307672707154238630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29632952.post-81563587527188648712011-07-05T04:49:21.523-04:002011-07-05T04:49:21.523-04:00Hi there, awesome site. Apart from trying to find a publisher for my novel, I've also tried to launch my career in advertisement.

It’s a bizarre coincidence that I found a publisher and a job in advertisement at the same time. For the job, I had to deal with an unimaginable amount of rejections and disappointments. For the book, I especially needed patience.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05935543648023029783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29632952.post-84339162035467421752010-04-15T18:17:31.897-04:002010-04-15T18:17:31.897-04:00Loved Shapiro's essay--I used it as a discussi...Loved Shapiro's essay--I used it as a discussion item for my writing group. My writing group is composed of seniors (not high school--"mature" adults, for a more PC sound), and the members that remain with the group are dedicated to the craft of writing. However, I get people on a regular basis who think that writing a book is some kind of quick way to get rich. These folks never last long. I tell my writers to write because they want to tell a good story, not because they think they can get rich. As I told one writer recently: Writing a book is like buying a lottery ticket, only instead of simply buying a ticket at the counter, you have to go around back and dig ditches for your ticket. It's hard work, and the rewards are not always monetary.TH Meekshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10686820920035214589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29632952.post-52000155913532485382010-04-07T04:39:57.195-04:002010-04-07T04:39:57.195-04:00Thanks, this is a great list. I, for one, find the first third of a novel relatively easy to write - in fact, the hard part is doing anything else important during that time the Muse sits astride my shoulders and flogs me onward.

Sooner or later, though, I have to tackle that middle part that carries the story to its end. Now you are a published author to boot. Sounds like you are very focused to me!

I am retired in Mexico now but am American. I have loved England with a passion since reading Wordsworth, Dickens, Hardy and such Brit fare in high school and college.

I've had many experiences visiting Britain and have met many Brits in my time. I will always love all things British in theory. But I've been "Brit scolded" one time too many!

Seee, I buy very little of this famous British reserve you lot brag on.

My experience so far is that Brits come right out and speak their mind no matter if it hurts feelings or not. Sure, when you're quiet, you're quiet, not like the Irish, but when you do talk, so often you offend. Honestly, I am hoping someday one of you Brits will prove me wrong.

If you are looking for polite, gentle, kind people, look to the Mexican. Just don't look to the upper class ones, they are often arrogant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
